Mission Statement

The purpose of the organization is to preserve the heritage of the African American community, promote education, and support the
development of the Historical Black School location, which is now the Carmichael Park, in
Oliver Springs, Tennessee.

Newsletter and Upcoming Events

The 6th Annual MCSO Banquet will be held on Saturday, Aug 24, 2019 at the Double Tree Hotel in Oak Ridge, TN

The 2018 Oliver Springs Colored School Reunion will be held on Saturday, May 5. The location TBA.

The 2nd Annual Soul Food Sunday Fundraiser will be held on Sunday, Feb 11, 2018 at the DAV, 530 Kingston Ave, Oliver Springs, TN.

Membership Form

The Mayme Carmichael School Organization is a non-profit organization that meets at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Town of Oliver Springs Municipal Services Annex building.  906 East Tri-County Boulevard (across from Norwood Elementary School).  Please complete a membership form.  Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
